Megaranger concludes with the Nejiranger’s fall, Hinelar creating his own planned community, and a final arc with a shift that comes straight out of freaking nowhere.
I really don't believe it was foreshadowed at any point before this, at least.
Tokusatsu in Review: Denji Sentai Megaranger... by ShintaReviews
Great review
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's just me but I saw a lot of similarities between Hinlear and Doctorman from Choudenshi Bioman
It's not just you, I just haven't seen Bioman to weigh in on that.
DeleteIt's amazing to see how many stories Power Rangers In Space copied from Megaranger despite the difference in theme. The civilians were definitely handled better in Countdown to Destruction among other things.
ReplyDeleteaddressing it next week with In space, but yes, I agree greatly with that.
DeleteIt's too bad CtD is so badly directed.
I think this Sentai series is pretty good, though I would say this is one of those Sentai that I prefer the westernize Power Rangers in Space better, mainly because they did the civilians in that series FAR better than the original Japanese counterpart.
ReplyDeleteI know what the writers are trying to do, they are trying to mirror Heineler's situation to the Megarangers, but both cause of said situations are different and this also lead to viewers asking "Are the people really worth saving?". I really hate it when shows do "The people betrayed the trust of the heroes despite being saved by them countless times" plot. Ultraman Mebius did better than this.
