.hack//Retrospective: .Hack//Vs/The World

The retrospective comes to a close with a fighting game of Cyberconnect’s flagship franchise, and a theatrical feature chronicling the final tale of the Epitaph of Twilight.
Done in reverse order, of course.

Note: this was made before it was announced Cyberconnect2 was given outsourced work on Square-enix’s Final fantasy 7 Remake. Frankly, from all the other details revealed concerning that project at around the same time, that was the only highlight of them.

  1. Awesome Video. Thanks for making this series. .hack left a huge impact on me as well, and I'm glad to hear someone else enjoyed it so much. Now I'm off to rewatch this retrospective series once more!

  2. Thank you for opening my eyes to this awesome franchise. And thank you also for teaching me that games are not only a source of entertainment, but also a source of life, whether it effects directly or indirectly.

While it is sad to see a great franchise like this dead and probably will never come back anytime soon, but I still got some hope from other game franchises. Whether it is the very niche and repetitive but enjoyable Neptunia franchise, the king of RPGs that has fallen from grace, the Final Fantasy franchise, or the RPG that has some mixed reputation and fans, the Tales of franchise, they still are fun and may become even better in the future.

Once again thanks for this retrospective. And also good luck on Digimon World 4, you really need it.

    1. With any Luck, I should be able to finally address either a Tales game or persona next year

    2. Yes, especially now that you can play Zestiria and later Symphonia and Berseria on PC.
